Cerrillos Turquoise with granulation and darkened silver. In the stone I see a shoreline with water, so I added granules to accentuate the natural characteristics of the stone. Turquoise gains its blue-green hues from the levels of native copper and aluminum in the matrix stone. The stone in this ring displays a range of turquoise hues.
I bought this stone from the man who mined it in Cerrillos New Mexico. The Cerrillos turquoise hill has an incredible history providing material for nomadic Paleo-Indian artists long before the Spanish settled the area. Let this ring empower you, remind you of the people, and of the desert from which it came.
Totally hand forged and one of a kind.
